If you read our e-newsletter about a month ago, you learned a bit about a special member of our childcare team - Trenton Burton. Trenton recently traveled back down to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for his regular scans and came home with good news to report - his cancer is still gone!!! We are so grateful for Trenton's faith, his love of every person who walks through our doors, and his witness of hope and perseverance. Please join us in rejoicing in his continued recovery!

Did you know this week is Diaper Need Awareness Week?
Guiding Grace provides diapers and wipes to family who are active in our program as an incentive for all the work they are putting into their personal and professional growth. We are able to provide incentives like this as well as household supplies, toiletries, and transportation and housing scholarships through the generosity of our greater community. Thank you for all the donation drives YOU have organized on our behalf. You truly make a difference in the lives of Guiding Grace families!

We got to spend the afternoon with these amazing volunteers from First Interstate Bank yesterday for their annual Service Day!!!
These three fearless workers signed up for yard duty, but the weather this week had other plans. They put together amazing welcome baskets for our families as well as wrapped many boxes of diapers. Volunteers like this ensure we don't fall behind on the things that show hospitality to the families that trust us every day. Thank you guys for helping us out! You're welcome back ANY TIME!!!

Omaha area non-profits are stronger when we work together!!!
Yesterday we were blessed to give a shout-out to Chariots4Hope and today we want to send a big THANK YOU and high fives to two local organizations who also work to support moms and families - Bethlehem House Omaha & Assure Women's Center. Both have been amazing in sharing their wealth of diapers when we have encountered moments of need (and empty shelves 😉). As a community, we are better together, and we are grateful and proud to walk alongside these organizations, lifting families up ⬆️

We've said it before but THANK YOU to Omaha for being generous and awesome!

We LOVE Liferide!!!!
Its really something special when we can lock arms with another community organization and work together toward a common goal.
The transportation barrier in our community is real and we are grateful to Chariots4Hope for allowing our families to utilize their Liferide program to make it to their classes here at Guiding Grace.
TEAMWORK makes the dream work!!!

Thanks so much to Jack & Ariana from Cav Training for spending the morning with us yesterday and teaching us how to administer CPR, AED, Narcan as well as covering choking protocol. After their expert training, we feel ready and equipped to care of these emergencies - we just hope we don't have a reason to use them here at work. 😉
Just another way we're ensuring every family who comes to Guiding Grace will experience an expert level of love and care while they are with us!!!
