Citizen Science Institute - TMMS, 3939 20th Avenue NW, Olympia (2026)

CSI is the Citizen Scientist Institute for grades 6-8 at Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Olympia, WA. CSI combines science, civics, arts, and service learning to connect students with scientists and their community. Students at CSI apply skills and concepts learned in class to real-world science scenarios in order to gain a better understanding of how science works outside of the classroom. Stu

dents also participate in regular service-learning projects to better their understanding of civics concepts as well as to provide a benefit to the Olympia community and beyond.

The Marshall CSI Parent Board has teamed up again with the Olympia Film Society to bring 1986 classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off to the community!
