Hey Utah!
At Leaving the Sideline, our mission is simple: we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the military members, veterans, and first responders who sacrifice so much for our safety and freedom.
As our footprint here in Utah continues to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to help us expand our impact. We currently have three open seats on our Utah board, and we are searching for dedicated community members to step up and help lead the charge.
Please note: All of our members are volunteers, and all board positions are strictly unpaid.
What we are looking for:
•A deep passion for supporting our local heroes and understanding the unique challenges they face.
•A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
•While a formal background isn't required, experience in mental health support, fundraising, community outreach, or marketing is a huge plus!
If you've been searching for a meaningful way to give back to those who protect us, we want to hear from you.

At Leaving the Sideline, we believe that no one who has dedicated their life to protecting others should ever have to face their hardest battles alone.
Whether it’s a veteran transitioning back to civilian life, a military family navigating deployment, or a first responder processing the heavy weight of the uniform, the invisible scars of service deserve just as much care as the physical ones.
We are here to bridge the gap, offering support, and remind our heroes—and their families—that they are never truly off the team.

The class will cover identifying signs of mental health challenges and strategies for intervention in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
