We all know the VFW Chicken Shack is a mainstay of the Beaches during the summer, and now others are taking notice. Delmarva Foodie Elitist https://foodieelitist.com/reviews/vfw-post-7234-chicken-shack has put them up with some of the finest restaurants in the area, as seen below. Their bottom-line review: "...And remember to thank the Vets not only for their service, but for roasting the best damn chicken in the state" speaks well for Ken Weber and his team; many long hours go into the Shack. This coming Saturday, 5 September, will be the last opportunity for this year to indulge in a 4-star delight.

As our nation celebrates its 250th year, we reflect on the incredible 110-year legacy of these dedicated men and women who have always been ready to answer the call of duty, from World War I to the present day.
