Know it was awhile ago....July 12th but here are more pictures of our talented artists and guest for Illustrating America Contest winners ceremony held at our Post.....Enjoy!! But wait....the contest is now opened for the session 2026-2027 again but deadline has changed: December 15th, 2026 head to MALTA go to YOUTH and print out the application....

Today at our Sunday breakfast we sang and wished a special guest a 92 Year Young Birthday the General!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GENERAL ENJOY THE TODAY! and always!!

Morning.....when you become an Auxiliary member yes you can enjoy all the things at the Post but did you know you can volunteer with other Auxiliary members with our Chairs....like these ladies meeting to discuss an event at the VA Hospital with Hospital Chair Shirley. Inquire at our next monthly meeting how you can help!!! Lets be Post 7234 Auxiliary Strong!!!

So today is the day at the VFW Post 7234 Chicken Shack that the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association are doing a chicken fundraiser for their Outreach Programs. Chief Grill Master Ken Weber and others assisting the newbies to become grill masters. Only $10 for chicken, chips and drink. Great cause VETS HELPING VETS!!! They will be there for next few hours or until sold out!!!

Another great day at the VFW Chicken Shack and Auxiliary T-Shirt sales. But the shack continues to grill up some more chicken. The VFW Chicken Shack Boss and some crew members are teaming up with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association in this fundraiser that will support their Veterans Outreach Program. So come out this Sunday at 9am. (You all know where: Army National Guard Bethany Beach) Price is $10.00 chicken, chips and drink!!! Here are a few (CVMA) members that showed up today to support us and watch the crew in action. So look for the bikes and some of these smiling faces!!! Lets all show our support.....VETS HELPING VETS!!!!

What a great way to recognize our Youth who participated in the VFW Auxiliary Youth Contest Illustrating America. It took awhile to get most of them together to present their awards but it finally happened. On July 12, 2026 a light fare and award ceremony was held at our Post. Youth Chair Cindy and Americanism Chair Sue hosted and welcomed our winners and guests. Auxiliary member Pat helped with setting up and taking the pictures. Present to assist in the Department Awards was Department Youth Chair and Conductor Kate Beachboard. Our Auxiliary and Post was well represented by the following: Auxiliary President Kevin Conlon, Sr. Vice Sandra Magera, Conductor Barbara Peterson, Treasurer and Chief of Staff for Department President Roberta Walter and Sr. Vice Commander Andrew Artemchuk.
Since our Auxiliary shared some of the entries we had additional guests from the Department. Present was Department President Dale A. Weese, Jr. Vice President Lori Bailey (Seaford), Chaplain Sue Beachboard (Hall-Burke), and Leslie Lacombe (Auxiliary President Hall-Burke).
Three of the entries won the Department award and were being sent to National. (K-2 grade)- Kit Miller (OV), (3-5 grade)-Paige Brittingham (OV) and (6-8 grade)-Jonathan Kohr (OV).

Today is a special day for our Military Service personnel and Veterans lets acknowledge those who received this medal for their sacrifice to our Nation. If you know someone please post their name in honor of this day.

Another great day at the VFW 7234 Chicken Shack with Auxiliary Member Carol and granddaughter: Riley volunteering to sell the cutest T-Shirts. Brenda and her crew volunteering!!! Few more weeks left to grab one before they are gone!!!! A BIG THANK YOU to all that supported our fundraiser and volunteered.
