is a private nonprofit behavioral health organization since 1992 that provides psychiatric rehabilitation services, residential rehabilitation services, residential crisis services and respite services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness in Garrett County, MD. Delivery of services meets the needs of the individual in a manner that is respectful, responsive, and responsible. services are licensed and approved by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) for Garrett and Allegany counties.

Our Wellness and Recovery service users took some time to visit HART for Animals in Garrett County, where they enjoyed spending quality time with some adorable dogs and cats 🐾🐈‍⬛. The visit was filled with smiles, laughter, wagging tails, and plenty of furry cuddles. Spending time with animals is a wonderful way to promote emotional wellness and bring joy to the day!

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. is trading its usual colors for a wave of vibrant pink. Just like a lighthouse guides ships through dark waters, our team is wearing pink to ensure no one has to navigate the storm of breast cancer alone.
By wearing pink, we proudly:
• Honor the fighters currently facing treatment.
• Celebrate the survivors and their incredible strength.
• Remember the loved ones we have lost.
• Remind our community that early detection saves lives.

We had a little Team Bonding luncheon today. It was a dip-licious time! Everyone voted on their favorite dips and the winners were Amy and Deanna. Both voted biggest dips of Lighthouse! What a nice time spending lunch with everyone.

The Wellness and Recovery Center said goodbye to summer and hello to fall with a fun-filled visit to Cherry Brook Farm in Mt. Storm, WV!
Service users enjoyed picking out the perfect pumpkins, playing festive fall games, sharing laughter, and socializing with friends. The beautiful fall atmosphere provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, build connections, and create lasting memories.

This week, service users completed meaningful projects focused on community integration, creativity, and giving back to others. Service users painted and decorated rocks with positive and uplifting messages, and placed them at Crellin Elementary School in the rock garden "Kind Like Kenzie". Service users also painted bowls at Deep Creek Pottery to support the Feed the Hungry initiative. These activities encouraged creativity, social engagement, and a sense of purpose while providing service users with opportunities to make positive contributions within their community.
