Today we dropped off $209 worth of paper towels and wet cat food to our friends in rescue who helped with the abandoned pups. When we asked the team what we could do to help support them with the care of the pups, they said more than monetary donations, they needed wet cat food and paper towels. And they showed their relief and gratitude today when we dropped this all off. It was such a good reminder to not assume what someone or an organization needs, always better to ask and meet their greatest needs.

We didn’t quite make our fundraising goal to cover this or the full $400 that would have doubled this haul. But we are grateful we could help, thanks to you all! And to be honest, a supporter who continues to submit matching grants to her company really came through. The company’s matching check came right as we needed it for this haul. If you aren’t sure, check with your employer to see if they give out matching grants for donations you make.

Thank you all for rescuing with us and helping others who helped us, to save more lives. We be doing our September donation drawing tomorrow, stay tuned and thank you 🙏

One has a puncture wound. And at just 6-7 months old, one of them appears to be pregnant. Their whole story is filled with heartbreak 💔 but today all 3 of them start a new chapter filled with hope and safety ❤️‍🩹

We are partnering with an organization who has taken them in. They don’t have room. They don’t have funds. They are just finding a way. When we offered to help, they said what they really need is wet cat food and paper towels instead of monetary donations. We have already placed an order at Walmart for $200 worth of wet cat food and paper towels. We will post that receipt to our stories today. We’d like to place a second order to help them out. Small rural shelters are struggling and if we can relieve them in return for their help with these pups, we’d like to step up and do that. They’ve already got spays, neuters, vet checks and vaccinations scheduled.

Every dollar donated will go directly towards getting supplies the shelter needs and we will of course post pictures of those supplies and receipts for transparency. If you could please consider helping these puppies by helping the organization who’s taking them in, you are saving lives…many more than just these 3 innocent souls. They didn’t ask for this. They did nothing wrong. And their lives matter 🤍

You can donate through the fundraiser in this post or below, our goal is $400. We will post daily updates of how much we’ve raised, supplies purchased and when they are delivered.

Thank you for rescuing with us 🙏
