The sacrifice of our fallen law enforcement heroes should never fade from our hearts or our memories. On this , we honor Probation Officer Tiffany Danielle Bishop and remember the courage, commitment, and service of every officer who has made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving others. We owe it to these heroes and the families they left behind to keep their legacies alive.

Today we remember Probation Officer Tiffany Danielle Bishop, from the Georgia Department of Corrections, who was inadvertently shot and killed during a fi****ms training exercise at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia. Officer Bishop died while enroute to the hospital. The instructor who shot Officer Bishop was indicted on 'Manslaughter' charges and pled guilty.

We honor the life and remarkable legacy of U.S. Army Gen. David M. Maddox, whose more than 34 years of service reflected extraordinary leadership, courage, and an unwavering commitment to our nation. From Vietnam through the final years of the Cold War, his leadership helped shape generations of soldiers and left a lasting mark on our military. Stories like Gen. Maddox’s are important to share because the freedoms we enjoy today were built and protected by men and women who dedicated their lives to serving something greater than themselves. This is what community is all about! While Engine 6 was out training and practicing hose evolutions, they had an unexpected opportunity to make a few young community members’ day. From getting a chance to flow some water to riding their bikes through the spray to cool off, these are the moments that build lasting connections. We’re incredibly thankful for our firefighters and the dedication, training, and service they bring to our community every single day. They’re always preparing to answer the call, but they’re never too busy to make a positive impact along the way. Thank you to our firefighters for all you do! ❤️🚒🇺🇸

🚨 HEADS UP, OAKDALE!

A recent stolen vehicle investigation is a great example of teamwork in action. Through the coordinated efforts of Oakdale Police patrol officers, detectives, dispatchers, regional law enforcement partners, and local businesses, a suspect was taken into custody, two stolen fi****ms were recovered, the stolen vehicle was returned, and all reported stolen property was recovered. We’re grateful for the dedicated work of everyone involved in helping keep our community safe. Please stay vigilant, secure valuables and fi****ms, report suspicious activity, and share this information with your friends and neighbors.
