AUGUST 2, 2026 • 🟥RED FLAG NOTICE🟥

The Beach Safety Division has upgraded conditions to 🟥RED FLAG🟥 effective immediately and until further notice for Sunday, August 2, 2026.

NOTE: This overrides the current flag forecast by the National Weather Service Wilmington, and is due to hazardous conditions observed locally by the Beach Safety Division.

During a RED FLAG there is a ‼️HIGH RISK‼️ of rip currents and rough surf conditions, with no “safe” water depth identified. The beach areas are still open to enjoy, but ocean swimming and in-water activity should NOT take place.

Wow - what support from the golf community. Friends, we sold out in less than an hour. 128 golfers minus foursomes held for sponsors. It's going to be a great event.

There is a waitlist available in any registered teams are unable to play. Additionally, we expect one foursome to be available to benefit another very worthwhile non-profit in the community - more info to come later on that.

We will also have one more sponsorship with foursome available. I will post early next week with details on that.
