At the USA/Canada Forum, Lions came together to learn, connect and discover new ways to make an even greater impact in their communities. Through LCIF seminars, Lions explored how grants can turn ideas into life-changing service projects, learned more about LCIF and its programs, and discovered how to share the LCIF story with their communities. And Lions’ generosity was on full display.

Together, we raised roughly US$314,177 for LCIF at the Forum, helping make even more service possible for communities around the world. From Memphis to communities around the world, Lions are turning knowledge, generosity and service into action.

For one Lion in Nepal, supporting LCIF means knowing that a gift today can become food, water, shelter and hope for families when disasters strike. “I have seen the difference. When floods hit Nepal, we did not have to start from zero. LCIF was already standing with us.”

That is the power of Lions giving together. Your gift today can help LCIF be there when communities need us most. Give today: https://bit.ly/4xTyA2z

In Zambia, cataracts remain the leading cause of blindness, yet many people face barriers to receiving the care they need.
Through a new partnership, Combat Blindness International (CBI), Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), Lions Aid Zambia - LIAZ, and Zambia's Ministry of Health are expanding access to cataract services across Central Province. Over the next two years, the initiative will support cataract surgeries each year, strengthen local eye care services and help improve access to sight-saving care for people living with visual impairment or blindness.
Together, we are investing in sustainable eye care systems that help more people receive the treatment they need, closer to home.

Every grant creates a positive impact!

West Virginia News has published an article about an LCIF grant that was awarded to support flood recovery efforts in Lewis, Upshur, and surrounding West Virginia counties. This US$15,000 Emergency Grant helped provide first aid supplies, relief kits, and much more.

This story is just one example of the difference LCIF can make in local communities.

LCIF awarded a US$72,514 Matching Grant to District 356-A in Korea. These funds were used to purchase a mobile vehicle that delivers laundry services to vulnerable residents. Equipped with industrial washers, dryers, and an onboard generator, the mobile unit enables volunteers to provide on-site laundry services throughout the community and is expected to reach more than 200 households annually.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 400,000 children around the world are diagnosed with cancer each year. Since survival rates are significantly lower for children living outside of high income countries, LCIF is working to bridge that gap. Childhood Cancer Grants are designed to help Lions improve the quality of life for children receiving treatment and their families.

These grants are only made possible through donations. To join LCIF in our global mission, please visit https://bit.ly/3SzGKOg to donate today.

During recent months, there have been an increasing number of phone, text, social media and email scams. Be aware of scams that fraudulently use the Lions Clubs International or Lions Clubs International Foundation name or logo. The goal of these types of scams is to trick people into revealing personal and financial information about themselves, which can then be used to commit identity theft. The correct LCIF page can be identified by the blue verified checkmark by our name.

During a recent visit to Malaysia, LCIF Chairperson A.P. Singh met with Lions supporting accessible dialysis care through the Muar Lions Renal Centre, while also joining Lions in celebrating their service and generosity at district events in Melaka.

With support from LCIF and the dedication of the Lions Clubs of Muar Host and Sagil, the Center has replaced aging dialysis machines, helping more than 120 patients continue to receive essential, affordable care.

Together, Lions and LCIF are turning compassion into action every day. 💛🦁
