Would you like to crochet a scarf to support a winter clothes drive sponsored by our Lyons Lions Branch Club? We are hosting a project next Thursday September 17th at 6:30pm at the Lyons Public Library. If you like to crochet or if you'd like to learn to crochet come out and we'll teach you a simple pattern. You'll then be able to work on it for 6-8 weeks and we'll collect them and share the warm items with Lyons elderly or families who need them. Hope to see you there! Chicago Windy City Lions Club is growing! This week we had a Lyons welcome picnic with special guests Lions International President Mark and Lyn Lyon. IP Mark inducted 6 new members including 4 members of the NEW Lyons Lion International branch club! He also presented a Melvin Jones Fellowship on behalf of the club to 2025-26 club President Yari Vera and 2025-26 Service chair Valerie Cosmao. We appreciate having so many of our members and our District 1-A Lions Clubs Governor Ben and Yoly Zoleta and the G*T team there to help us celebrate!

This week, Chicago Windy City Lions Club gathered at Standard Market, Tacos for a Windy Social and Taco Tuesday Celebration. Our past Club Officers, Service Project Chairpersons and Member of the Year were recognized, along with the Melvin Jones Fellowship award. Our Incoming 2026-2027 Club Officers were introduced, including our newest Club President, Lion Guy Schmale. We honored our outgoing president, Yari Vera, and enjoyed a wonderful evening of friends, good food and fellowship. Thanks to all that came, and we hope to see you at our upcoming gatherings and service events!
