Zontians Trine Angeline Sig and Annette Braae of District 13, Denmark, are helping advance menstrual health and women's economic empowerment through their work with Real Relief, an organization co-founded by Trine. 💪

Through Real Relief's partnership with Safepath Prosperity in Kabul, Afghanistan, more than 250 women are involved in producing reusable menstrual pads, creating employment opportunities while improving access to essential menstrual products. Last week in Strasbourg, France, the CINGO Gender Equality Committee's exhibition received great interest and support during the Parliamentary Assembly of the session! ✨

Under the motto “Say NO to violence against women and YES to gender equality,” the exhibition showcased 12 examples of the important work civil society organizations are doing across Europe to turn the principles of the Istanbul Convention and gender equality into action.

Zonta International proudly recognizes the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women's 30th anniversary and its ongoing commitment to ending violence against women and girls worldwide. 💙

Our shared commitment to this mission is reflected in the past programs Zonta has supported through the UN Trust Fund, including the Gender Responsive Schools Pilot Model in Vietnam, administered by UN Women from 2014-2016. Implemented by Plan Vietnam, a UN Trust Fund grantee, the project promoted safe, accountable and child-friendly schools where adolescent girls and boys could receive quality education in an environment free from gender-based violence.

Through this milestone, we reaffirm our shared commitment to building a better world where all women and girls can live free from violence.
