September is Hunger Action Month. 🍚

Hunger is rarely about a single missed meal. It is a family stretching rice for a week. A child too tired to focus in class. A mother eating last, and least.

Food distribution is one of the most direct ways CSi serves, because a full plate restores more than energy. It restores dignity and the strength to keep going.

Monday prayer for the nations πŸŒπŸ™

For families displaced by war and disaster, bring safety and shelter.
For the sick waiting on care that has not come, bring healing.
For children out of school, open a way back.
For field teams and local churches serving in hard places, bring strength and protection.
For those who feel forgotten, remind them they are seen by You.

Compassion often begins with someone willing to stop and pray.

Who or what are you praying for today?

It is possible to feel sorry for the whole world and help no one.

Compassion becomes real the moment it costs us something: our time, our money, our comfort, our plans.

Pick one need this week and do something about it. That is where it starts.

Our CSi team has been on the ground in Colombia this week working alongside the United Pentecostal Church here in the aftermath of the recent earthquakes and assisting with ongoing relief and recovery efforts.

We have seen firsthand the devastation and the tremendous needs facing families and communities throughout the affected areas. At the same time, we have also witnessed the incredible response of our pastors and churches here in Colombia as they continue serving their communities and identifying those who need help most.

Our team was able to set up temporary clinics where we provided medical care and distributed medical supplies to those in need. CSi purchased large quantities of food locally and, with the help of pastors and churches throughout the affected areas, were able to distribute food and other essential supplies directly into the communities.

In addition to the supplies purchased here, our team brought medical supplies, food, hygiene products, bedding, and other necessities into Colombia. Working alongside the local pastors has allowed us to get these resources into the hands of families who need them.

One of the things that has impacted us most has been seeing the Church respond in the midst of so much devastation. Our pastors and church members here are not simply caring for their own congregations, they are reaching into their communities, helping families, meeting practical needs, praying with people, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

There is still much work to be done, but we are incredibly grateful that we have been able to come alongside our brothers and sisters in Colombia during this time. Please continue to pray for the families and communities affected, for our pastors and churches serving on the ground, and for the continued relief and recovery efforts throughout Colombia.

Scripture tells us to care for the widow. That is not a suggestion. It is a calling. 🀍

In many communities, losing a husband means losing income, standing, and security all at once. Widows are often the first to go without and the last to ask for help.

CSi's Widow's Might reflects a simple conviction: no woman should be forgotten because she was left behind.

Join us in praying for widows around the world, and for the churches serving them.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." James 1:27 πŸ“–

We are entering the most active stretch of hurricane season. πŸŒ€

Before the storm has a name, relief work has already begun. Supplies get staged. Partners get contacted. Teams get ready.

When a disaster hits, CSi works with local churches and organizations to get food, water, medicine, and recovery supplies where they are needed, and to keep showing up after the initial emergency passes.

Pray with us for the communities in the path of this season's storms.

πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅ Nepal needs our prayers.

Devastating flash floods have torn through communities along Nepal’s northern border, leaving widespread destruction in their wake. At least 160 people have lost their lives, hundreds remain missing, and entire villages have been impacted as floodwaters swept away homes, roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure.

Compassion Services International is praying for the people of Nepal, the families grieving unimaginable loss, those still searching for loved ones, and the first responders working in the midst of this devastation.

Please join us in praying for Nepal and for all those affected by this disaster. πŸ™
