Our CSi team has been on the ground in Colombia this week working alongside the United Pentecostal Church here in the aftermath of the recent earthquakes and assisting with ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
We have seen firsthand the devastation and the tremendous needs facing families and communities throughout the affected areas. At the same time, we have also witnessed the incredible response of our pastors and churches here in Colombia as they continue serving their communities and identifying those who need help most.
Our team was able to set up temporary clinics where we provided medical care and distributed medical supplies to those in need. CSi purchased large quantities of food locally and, with the help of pastors and churches throughout the affected areas, were able to distribute food and other essential supplies directly into the communities.
In addition to the supplies purchased here, our team brought medical supplies, food, hygiene products, bedding, and other necessities into Colombia. Working alongside the local pastors has allowed us to get these resources into the hands of families who need them.
One of the things that has impacted us most has been seeing the Church respond in the midst of so much devastation. Our pastors and church members here are not simply caring for their own congregations, they are reaching into their communities, helping families, meeting practical needs, praying with people, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
There is still much work to be done, but we are incredibly grateful that we have been able to come alongside our brothers and sisters in Colombia during this time. Please continue to pray for the families and communities affected, for our pastors and churches serving on the ground, and for the continued relief and recovery efforts throughout Colombia.
