Our federated Garden Club fall convention on Tuesday was a huge success. We learned from our speaker, Mr. Don Fi**en, who spoke on dark skies about how the nightlight affect plants, animals, and insects. We had a wonderful breakfast thanks to everyone who participated in bringing a dish, a very informative meeting, a great lunch, and it was so good seeing the attendance of all the Garden club members who attended.

Our O’fallon Garden Club meeting on Tuesday was so exciting! Our speaker was none other than the famous Sherri Menscher, who gave us valuable advice on flower arranging. We all had an opportunity to make arrangements on our own and everyone’s were different, unique, and gorgeous.

Our March meeting was a great success! Don Fi**ens did an excellent job presenting information about Dark Sky initiatives—it really made us stop and think about how light pollution affects birds, plants, animals, and the natural world around us. Hopefully, we can all take small steps to make a positive difference.

If you get the chance to listen to a Dark Sky presentation please do. You will hear a lot of eye opening information.
