Government-wide financial statements provide a comprehensive view of the government and its component units. The government-wide statement of net position allows readers of the report to assess the government’s financial position at a point in time. The government-wide statement of activities presents the financial results of activities for a given year, allowing readers to assess costs of all a government’s activities and the revenues used to finance those activities.
