A Day in the Life at STAR 💙

The day began with our morning wake-up and shake-out, where individuals came together through movement, encouragement, and positive energy to start the day on a high note.

Later, creativity was on full display during art class as individuals planted flowers in the pots they crafted themselves, combining artistic expression with hands-on learning.

After lunch, the afternoon focused on learning and discovery with educational videos that sparked curiosity and conversation.

From building friendships and confidence to exploring new skills and interests, every day at STAR is filled with meaningful opportunities to learn, create, and connect.

Your hard work helped brighten our homes and outdoor spaces, and your generosity made a lasting impact. We are grateful for your partnership and for helping create beautiful places for the people we support to call homes.
We were also honored to welcome representatives from and office whose presence marked the importance of community and partnerships. 💙💛

Congratulations to Travis Kollock, our Employee of the Month! 🎉

Travis’s leadership, reliability, and dedication to the individuals at South Ave Cottage and his coworkers make a difference every day. As Assistant House Manager, Travis consistently goes above and beyond by taking on additional responsibilities, supporting resident appointments, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. He is also a strong advocate for the individuals he supports and their right to make their own choices.
