Voting info for today, Sept 1st 2026 from Northfield Town Clerk:

The State Primary is Tuesday September 1st, voting is at Town Hall from 7am to 8pm.

A primary election is held before the general election and is used to choose each political party’s candidate for an office. A general election is held after the primary election and allows all eligible voters to choose among the candidates nominated by the political parties, as well as any independent candidates. The winners of the general election are elected to serve in public office.

Sample ballots are posted outside the Town Clerk’s office and the Election Warrant listing all offices to be elected is posted at the Field Library, Dickinson Memorial Library, the post office, Northfield VFW, and town hall.
