This is important! Save the date for this year's Blackie/Phelps Car Show at the West Northfield Playground! October 3rd - No rain date so pull in all your markers with Mother Nature please.

More information as the time gets closer but the big stuff is always and forever the same: Open and free to anyone who wants to bring their car, truck, tractor or whatever you can - or could - ride and drive! Open and free to anyone who wants to come see what is always a wonderful display of engine-powered everythings. Plenty of free parking. 4 acres of flat and open area, peppered with picnic tables and chairs - or bring your own chairs - or just wander about seeing old friends and meeting plenty of new ones!

The West Northfield Playground group will be offering a concession stand with hotdogs, fresh cut french fries, chili, breads and sweets plus a variety of hot and cold drinks. We have handicap accessible bathrooms inside.

The only requirement is that you bring a smile (even if its in your pocket) and an open heart!

Well lets try this again! Happy spring to West Northfield Residents! Evidently a month got past me...West Northfield Playground invites any and all West Northfield residents to our first Members' Meeting of the year tonight, Thursday, APRIL 23RD. Our meeting starts at 7 pm.

If you live in West Northfield you are automatically a member - Membership involves NO OBLIGATIONS, NO FEES! All you need to do is come to our Monthly Members' Meetings which are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 pm whenever it works for you.

Nice opportunity to meet new neighbors, see old-time neighbors and everyone in between. Very low key. Meetings generally last an hour or less - if there's a lot going on maybe a bit longer.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU! to Northeast Paving and Johnson Asphalt - both wonderful Northfield companies - for lending their material and expert labor to make our entrance to the West Northfield Playground so smooth and welcoming! Its so great when neighbors help neighbors - this is a great example of what makes West Northfield so very special! Again, thank you so much!

It was a fantastic day! Our October 4th Blackie/Phelps Car Show was the best yet...Here are some photos from the day. See anyone - or anyone's vehicle - that you recognize?

Here's an update: Previous event posting stated hours wrong. I'm blaming FaceBook. As stated, 9 am until the fun runs out! No pre-registration, no forms and definitely no fees! Also we have no limit on the number of cars, trucks, tractors or anything else with an engine - Just come as you are, whenever you decide to come, knowing you'll be bringing your very own special kind of spark to our day!

Hi Folks - Just a reminder that this Saturday, October 4th is our annual Blackie/Phelps Car Show! From 9 am until the fun runs out...Usually around 4 pm but who knows!..Weather forecast is wonderful...The West Northfield Playground welcomes any and all of those who wish to attend.

I have deleted several previous posts from some unknown person stating that pre-registration is required - THIS IS NOT FROM US. Our car show is free and open to all with no registration necessary at all.

We look forward to seeing all friends, old and new, for a day of conversations, laughter and just plain enjoyment.

Its that time again folks! Thursday, July 24th at 7 pm we'll be having our monthly Members' Meeting at the West Northfield Playground. All residents of West Northfield are welcome...no obligations just the opportunity to get together with neighbors - some you know, some are friends-in-waiting!

The meetings don't last longer than an hour normally - mostly updating about our rentals and discussion of what kind of shape we're in...its very upbeat!

Save the date: October 4, 2025

This year's Blackie/Phelps Car Show will be held on the 1st Saturday in October with a rain date of October 5th (haven't had to use the rain date so far and hoping not to this year either!).

With 4 flat, open acres to park your truck, car, tractor or anything else with an engine we are guaranteed to have an exceptional display. Admission is free, parking is free, laughter and story telling is free. All are welcome! The West Northfield Playground will have the grill going for hotdogs, the fryer for those delicious fresh-cut french fries, an ample amount of chili as well as a more than ample amount of sweets and cold drinks.

We hope to see you all there. Come with friends, come meet friends - just come!

Guess we're in for another day of heat and humidity - Mother Nature seems to realize that we have our Monthly Members' Meeting on Thursday, June 26th at 7 pm and will grant us a reprieve. Hoping to see any residents of West Northfield for a bit of social get-together and an update on our Playground so far this season!

Remember there are NO OBLIGATIONS to being a member - You only have to live in Northfield on this side of the river to attend. See some neighbors, meet some new people, enjoy a quiet hour under the cover in the quiet of our own space.
