Started in 1934, Helldorado Days was created to celebrate the spirit and history of Las Vegas during the Great Depression, bringing together western heritage, rodeo, parades, and community pride that still lives on today.

Make sure to join us again this November for the Helldorado Days Rodeo held right in the Plaza parking lot for an unforgettable weekend of rodeo action in the middle of downtown Las Vegas! 🎰🐴 Thank you David Macias for letting me ride Silver, he was the best boy! To me, “It’s a cowboy state of mind” means so much more than just rodeo. It’s grit, determination, sacrifice, and chasing a dream no matter the obstacles in front of you.

This past weekend, I got to meet several professional bull riders from Brazil, and they truly embody what a cowboy state of mind is all about. Some of these cowboys speak little to no English, yet that doesn’t stop them from traveling thousands of miles from home to compete on some of the biggest stages in professional rodeo.

That kind of determination is inspiring. No matter where you come from, what language you speak, or how far away home may be, the cowboy way of life has a way of bringing people together. Rodeo is its own language built on hard work, respect, courage, and heart.

Watching these athletes chase their dreams reminded me that being a cowboy isn’t about where you’re from. It’s about the mindset you carry with you every single day.

It’s a cowboy state of mind 🤠
