Water Mission Since 2001, Water Mission has served 8 million people in more than 65 countries, sharing safe water and the message of God’s love.

Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that builds sustainable safe water solutions for people in developing countries, refugee camps, and disaster areas. Water Mission’s global headquarters is in North Charleston, SC, and the organization serves people in Africa; Asia; and North, South, and Central America. Charity Navigator has awarded Water Mission its top four-star rating 19 years in a row, a distinction shared by less than 1% of the charities rated by the organization.

This year, our Disaster Assistance Response Team responded to two large-scale disasters simultaneously—earthquakes in Venezuela and flooding in Nepal.

Thanks to extensive planning, preparation, and support from partners, we responded swiftly and effectively. Safe water is a critical first step in the recovery journey after a disaster, as essential needs must be met quickly.

When Helena's water delivery ran late, her customers left hungry. 💧

In Makere, Tanzania, she relied on unreliable vendors and unsafe river water to run her restaurant and support her children.

Thanks to partners like you, she now has a private, metered water connection. Helena is one of the 30,000 people served by the Makere safe water project. She pays 25% less for 50% more water and can serve more customers.

Saturnino is a coffee farmer in Honduras. When his community's water system failed, his business and his family's health were affected. But Water Mission stepped in and installed a new safe water system that serves a tap at his home.
