CCMSP's 2026 Scholarship Ride & Raffle was a success, with $1,908 raised for scholarships for Coos county high school seniors. Special thanks to the primary sponsor, Milk-E-Way Feed & Trucking. It was a great day & a great cause.

Route for the 2026 CCMSP Scholarship Ride & Raffle 5/9/26
Start at North Spit BLM boat ramp, boots in stirrups at 10am.
Ride is 8 miles, approximately 3 hours.
$5 for ride and lunch, $5 poker hands, raffle tickets $1 each or 6 for $5
10am trail ride, 1pm chili lunch at the posse hall (69520 Wildwood Dr, Hauser), raffle after lunch. All money raised goes to scholarships for Coos county 2026 high school graduates.

Riley Arena is now OPEN for use. Thanks to our hard-working posse members for getting the new fence installed. Users, please be courteous and pick up after yourself, keep gates closed, etc.. Reminder that there is no charge for non-commercial use, but donations to CCMSP are always welcome to help with maintaining the arena, trail course, and grounds.

CCMSP hosted an Equine First Aid course taught by Dr. Austin Knapp, with several Oregon Association of Mounted Posses members in attendance. This two day course covered the basics of emergency care for horses.
