QUESTIONS:
Do tribal members get preferential treatment?
Tribal members, spouses and family members are given preference in hiring. But you still have to
be qualified for the position. And once you get the job, you have to do it well.
The tribe’s future depends on successful, self-sufficient members. So, we want to build your skills
and prepare you to reach your full potential.

Can you get me a job with the tribe?
No, but we can help maximize your chances. The Tribal Development Program can help you
prepare your resume and application, and we can help you prepare for a successful interview.

Can you help me get promoted?
If you work at The Mill, the Career Pathways program can help you make a career plan, and we
can coach you on some of the skills you’ll need to qualify for your next job. Promotions have to
be earned, but we can guide you along the way.

What should I do if I feel bullied or discriminated against?
Contact us about our Grievance Process. We can work with your department director and Human
Resources to resolve the issue.

Can my child get a summer job?
We can’t guarantee a job for every tribal youth who applies. But we do our best to match your teen
with a full-time or part-time opportunity that will provide work experience and training.

Can you protect me from disciplinary action?
We’re here to be your advocate, and to empower you with the skills to succeed. Ultimately,
however, your success depends on your performance.
