Our awesome (yes! We really do mean awesome) bunch of nonprofit leaders gathered 'round a big table yesterday to learn more about Waystone Health & Human Services (https://waystonehhs.org/) from their CEO, Brad Howell, and to see their awesome (yep! truly awesome) community space -- "The Inclusion Connection." https://waystonehhs.org/connection/ ANNNND, we learned so much from our guest speaker, Rebecca Fater who led an eye opening discussion on improving our fundraising strategies.

Conflict at the Board table? Let's get real. It happens. Thank you Yvonne Castaneda (BC Gateway Project) and Francellis Quinones(MeNowYou LLC) for allowing our Cultural Inclusion Class of 2026 to breathe a sigh of relief. It really is normal to be triggered for soooo many reasons. And for allowing us to develop ways to handle these moments at the Board table.

Well, this comes as noooooo surprise. Adolis Estevez Ramos, a Cultural Inclusion Class of 2026 recruit (brag, brag, brag) just graduated from Regis College with a Master's degree in Public Health.......If that wasn't enough, she was awarded the 2026 School of Health Sciences for Overall Excellence. Yep. And if THAT wasn't enough, she was asked to deliver the Hooding Ceremony Student Reflection Speech.

Hearts soar watching Arlin Santiago awarded by GLCAC for her work partnering with them as a dedicated community leader committed to advancing educational equity, housing stability, and women's empowerment. Among the many things she was honored for was leading the Lawrence Public Schools Homelessness Initiative, helping more than 100 families secure stable housing. O, and, um .....forgot to mention.....Arlin is one of Community InRoads' amazing Cultural Inclusion grads. Gotta get that in somewhere.
