Love this. A rainbow crosswalk is on our to-do list, North Andover!

Many more pictures and videos of today's wonderful flag raising and the party at DRIFT Gloucester that followed, but as the sun fully sets on a day that started out (like last night) in a very challenging and dispiriting way, this image showing what appeared in the eastern sky as we celebrated the start of Cape Ann Pride and today's outcome on the rainbow crosswalk just demands to be posted quickly.

A huge, huge THANK YOU to everyone who turned out today in such large numbers, with such passion and respect, and all who raised their voices through social media posts, emails, and phone calls since last night.

YOU MADE THIS CHANGE OF HEART HAPPEN!

That's what Pride is all about, right?

And, thanks to the Mayor for being willing to be called in, showing that not only CAN leaders change their minds, they MUST be able to.

He made a promise to all citizens of Gloucester today that the crosswalk will be repainted in June; we made a promise in front of him and all of you to make sure that happens, and to work in a creative and collaborative spirit with the Mayor's office and the City Council to make sure we never have to be back in this situation again.

You did your part so wonderfully. We'll do our part. If you'd like to be part of that process and dialogue and research, please email us at [email protected] so we can coordinate effectively. We'll get this done.

Wednesday, June 10th from 5:00-7:00pm is the tentative date for Pride & Popsicles 2026!

Join us for free frozen treats, lawn games, music, face painting, sign making, giveaways, and we'll be gathering non-perishables to donate. We're also open to local businesses or community members who would like to contribute to the giveaway fun. Let us know if you have any ideas of how we can add to the celebration!

We have plenty of You Are Welcome In North Andover yard signs available if you need a fresh one, and plenty of window clings. We would love to see more local businesses and buildings with these signs of welcome on display 💖

Today is Trans Day of Visibility. 🏳️‍⚧️

It’s a day to celebrate the strength, joy, and authenticity of transgender people.

To be seen, truly seen, is powerful. It means living your truth in a world that doesn’t always make space for it. It means courage in everyday moments.

Today, we honor trans voices, stories, and lives. We listen. We learn. We support.

And beyond today, we continue to create spaces where trans people feel safe, respected, and valued, not just visible.

Because everyone deserves to be seen for who they are. 🩷🩵🤍

And! If you are a local business that has not yet gotten one of our "All Are Welcome in North Andover" window clings for your front door and would like one, let us know. We have tons, and we LOVE seeing these signs of welcome around town!

The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth is now recruiting new Commissioners! If you’re 25 or under and passionate about advocating for LGBTQ+ young people and shaping inclusive policies statewide, this is a great opportunity to get involved. Commitment is 5-10 hours per month.

Commissioners advise state agencies, support youth programs, and much more. Applications are due by Nov. 20 (a week from tomorow). Link below!
