Youth In Nature Network

Youth In Nature Network Youth In Nature Network (YINN) operates as d/b/a under Gardens for Growing Community, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that connects young people to nature.

YINN supports nature-based, experiential learning in the Metro Atlanta region and in Costa Rica! YINN believes that through learning to value what the earth has to offer, we also learn to better understand and care for each other. But to value something enough to want to protect it, we must first love it. With that in mind, YINN gets young people outside in positive and meaningful experiences int

ended to create a sense of connection to the natural world. Our programs are meant to inspire a sense of stewardship, and empower them with the basic skills, tools and resources they need to become active environmental stewards. By promoting β€œEarth TLC” (Teaching, Learning & Conservation) YINN helps people come together to build stronger, healthier communities where everyone - wild and human! - has an opportunity on thrive.

It was really cool to be recognized at Brookwood's FFA (Future Farmers of America) event tonight - even cooler to see the projects we helped fund come to life! It really is a joy to support these teachers and their amazing students. YAY!! πŸ€©πŸ’šβœ…

What significant lesson did the Girls in the Wild hikers derive from their experience today? It was undoubtedly perseverance, as they encountered a morning that began with rain and culminated in sunshine, rendering their hike remarkably picturesque. πŸŒŸπŸŒ πŸŒžπŸžοΈπŸ’›

Looks like fun? It was! From the Enchanted Forest to the school garden - these pumpkins helped develop social, fine motor and problem-solving skills...as well as got kids outside and engaging with nature. But shhhhh! ....the kids just thought it was fun πŸ˜‚πŸ’š
