At Home Repairs Ministries, a call for help is rarely just about a leaking roof, broken HVAC system, unsafe floor or plumbing problem. Often, the homeowner on the other end of the phone has been trying to figure out what to do for months — or even years — and doesn’t know where else to turn.

🏠 We're here to repair the home. But we don't forget the heart!

For many in our community, homelessness isn't sudden.

Often, it comes gradually. Maybe a homeowner is facing job insecurity or navigating health concerns. Then bills pile up.

Sometimes repair needs get out of hand until a homeowner is facing eviction. 😕

🏡 We're grateful for so many partners who are meeting housing needs once a homeowner is displaced.

But at Home Repairs Ministries, we're here for homelessness prevention. Through critical home repairs, we're helping elderly homeowners, single parents and homeowners with disabilities stay safely in the place they already call "home." 🛠

When Adam joined the Marine Corps, he never imagined he’d leave the Marines as a wheelchair-bound veteran. But in June 2021, his life changed forever due to an accident while serving. On top of that, he developed a rare spinal cord disease that causes him severe chronic pain along with other symptoms.

Adam's home wasn't built to support him.

“For a few months of living here, I had to transfer into a smaller wheelchair just to get into our bedroom,” Adam said.

“And for a while, for the bathroom, I had to get out of my wheelchair, crawl into the bathroom and then pull myself up onto the toilet.”

Then a friend from Perimeter Church recommended Adam contact Home Repairs Ministries.

“I now have a bathroom I can get into with no problem. My bedroom door is wide open, so I can go right in. They built a ramp for the front door and the back door, so I can easily get out, and we don’t have to rely on portable metal ramps," he shared.

💙 “Life wouldn’t be the same if Home Repairs hadn’t come through and helped. God put some awesome people on our path, and we’re just grateful for that.”
