We’d like to share something quite extraordinary and very rare to witness.

First, please don’t worry that a pig is getting hurt. Patrick the pig was getting medicine applied to an injury. Pigs are, of course, very dramatic. Patrick was squealing his head off.

What was extraordinary was an action that pigs, and a lot of herd animals, do instinctively.

The pigs knew Patrick was in distress, so without hesitation, they surrounded him while squealing sounds of support. They squealed so loudly that it sounds like ringing ears on the video.

Here’s the other amazing thing…do you see Wilbur showing support? Patrick’s injury was from Wilbur. Patrick is the only pig that bothers Wilbur and he had had enough. But even Wilbur is there showing support.

Pigs are incredible animals. Remember, no pig was hurt during this filming. We wanted to share this incredible event with our friends.
