Sunflower of Peace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 47-2620675), based in Boston, MA. Join our life-saving mission, efforts, and movement.

Sunflower of Peace was established in 2014 with the purpose of helping people who were affected by Russia-fueled violence in Ukraine. With time and growth, we also began providing help to orphans, the internally displaced, and, in the recent years, contributed to COVID-19 relief efforts in Ukraine. Through generosity of our donors and support of our community, Sunflower of Peace provided hundreds of medical workers in Ukraine with critical equipment and tools during the times of scarcity, built playgrounds for orphanages in Kherson and a children's oncology center in Kyiv, provided aid to organizations serving adults with disabilities. Sunflower of Peace also facilitated educational exchange opportunities for Ukraine's talented geneticists and oncologists, who, together with the Boston scientists, secured proper diagnostics and treatment equipment for Ukraine. Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 became a mobilization call for Sunflower of Peace and our global community of supporters. Since that day, we have focused our efforts on providing critical tactical medical aid to the medics working to save lives on the frontlines of the war: we send backpacks filled with carefully curated selection of supplies, equipment to military hospitals, and, when possible, medications. In addition to our flagship medical program, we aim to fill urgent energy and humanitarian needs and assist Ukrainian nonprofit organizations serving women, children, seniors, and adults with disabilities. Our vision is Ukraine as a free, independent, democratic, and peaceful society where all people can thrive. Once Ukraine secures its victory, we will continue to work toward this beautiful ideal. Your support reached the National Guard of Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Essential medical supplies were delivered to the 2nd Separate Medical Battalion to support their work caring for Ukraine’s wounded defenders.

The delivery included:
- 150 elastic bandages
- 100 pairs of medical shears
- 100 immobilization splints
- Dressing supplies
- Kramer splints

In the video, the battalion’s representatives share their gratitude for this assistance and explain how these supplies will be used to care for wounded Ukrainian defenders.

Behind every delivery are people who care, give, and choose to stand with Ukraine. Thank you for being part of this effort!

Sunflower of Peace delivered combat stretchers «Ares» to the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kost Hordiienko.

Combat medics rely on lightweight, durable stretchers that can be used for rapid casualty evacuation, including in difficult terrain and under dangerous conditions. Stretchers «Ares» are designed to help medics move wounded soldiers quickly while keeping the equipment easy to carry and deploy.

We’ve been sending Ares stretchers to Ukrainian medics for years, and feedback from the teams using them has shown us how useful and reliable they are in the field.

We’re grateful to everyone who helps us keep these supplies moving to the Ukrainian teams who rely on them. 💙💛

Essential supplies for the 22nd Mechanized Mykolaiv Brigade serving in the Kharkiv region:

- Burn hydrogel dressings
- 4” Israeli bandages
- 1,000 water purification tablets
- Immobilization splints

The right aid starts long before it reaches the front line.

It begins with a request, followed by sourcing, packing, shipping, and finally, delivering the supplies into the hands of a medic. It’s a journey, made possible by so many people.

For us, this moment marks the end of that journey.

For the supplies inside this box, enough to equip one medical backpack, it’s just the beginning.

Their next destination could be an evacuation, a stabilization point, or anywhere a medic is called to help save a life.

Earlier, we shared the exciting news that the first three Rescue Robots had been delivered to the front lines in Ukraine.

The robot "KOZAK" is now with the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, where the team is currently testing it and preparing for active missions.

Every modern technology deployed on the front lines has one ultimate purpose: saving the lives of Ukraine's defenders.

These new technologies strengthen frontline medical evacuation efforts. Faster evacuations mean less time under fire, greater safety for rescue teams, and more opportunities to bring Ukraine's defenders home alive.

That's what all of our efforts are about, and what makes every one of them worthwhile.

Last Giving Tuesday, we launched our new, innovative program: Rescue Robots for Ukraine.

Today, we’re excited to share that production of the first three is complete, and these unmanned ground vehicles are now ready to serve an important mission on the front lines.

Meet:

«BALTO» and «MANCS», sponsored by Patricia Banker and Arthur Coté;

«KOZAK», sponsored by Chrystia & Andriy Kozak.

These robots go where it’s too dangerous for people to go. They deliver medical supplies, food, and water, help evacuate the wounded, and support Ukrainian defenders in some of the most dangerous places.

This is what your support made possible.

We are deeply grateful to Patricia, Arthur, Chrystia, Andriy, and everyone who contributed to this campaign and helped bring this idea into reality. Seeing these robots begin their mission is proof that, together, we have the power to help protect lives in Ukraine.

More donor-funded rescue robots are currently in production and will be joining them soon.

Our Name an Ambulance program continues to deliver lifesaving evacuation vehicles to Ukraine.

This new vehicle was funded by the Ukrainian community in New York, led by Lana Brooks. Through community fundraisers and a shared commitment to Ukraine, they united to support Ukrainian medics.

And the name says it all: Леді Liberty (Lady Liberty).

This name feels especially meaningful around U.S. Independence Day. While America celebrates freedom, Ukraine continues to defend it every day. The love of liberty is something that unites our two nations.

Soon, Lady Liberty will be on the front lines, helping evacuate the wounded and save lives of Ukraine's brave defenders.

We are deeply grateful to Lana Brooks, the Ukrainian community in New York, everyone who contributed, and our volunteer Martin from the Netherlands, who delivered the vehicle to Ukraine.

As long as the war continues, more evacuation vehicles are needed. Support our Name an Ambulance program and help deliver the next one to Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Russia launched one of the largest aerial attacks on Kyiv since the full-scale invasion.

Nearly 500 drones and more than 70 missiles struck cities across Ukraine, killing civilians, destroying homes, and leaving families buried beneath the rubble.

The attack also destroyed a warehouse of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Kyiv, where more than 320,000 units of humanitarian aid and emergency equipment, including generators, medical equipment, and emergency reserves were lost.

Our hearts are with every family affected and every medic, volunteer, and first responder responding to another devastating attack.

Please continue to stand with Ukraine. As long as Russia continues to target civilians, Ukraine will continue to need the world’s support. We cannot leave the people of Ukraine to face this alone.
