Red-ear sliders are an invasive species in Rhode Island. This tiny turtle was collected during an invasive removal and brought to us by our Aquarist Fellow, Dylan. White they are popular pets, it is illegal to release them into the Narragansett Bay watershed because of the harm they cause to our natural environment.

Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium is a proud member of the Museums for All program, an Institute of Museum and Library Services national initiative. Through the Museums for All program, individuals and families receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits receive free admission to the Aquarium. Save The Bay also offers a Free Military Admissions program, providing complimentary admission to active and retired military personnel.
