Where Is The Line at CNU

A Christopher Newport University organization dedicated to spreading awareness of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Our goal is to spread healing to survivors of such atrocities while providing education to those who wish to know more. We are apart of a statewide effort on college campuses working to fight against sexual abuse, date r**e, and violence. By partnering with ho

spitals in the local communities we can make a difference and show compassion for those wounded by abuse. Message for more details or checkout our other social media: WhereIsTheLine_ on Twitter and Instagram

Shadow Event is NEXT WEEK!! Come out to the Peebles Theater on November 18th @ 7 PM to support survivors as they anonymously share their stories🤍

Shadow Event is a night in which survivors of sexual violence share their stories anonymously. This event is intended to provide healing to survivors and empathy and understanding from audience members.

To maintain their anonymity, the survivors’ silhouettes are cast on a colored screen and their voices are edited. Audience members are given paper packets (which contain papers that match the shadow colors) to write notes to the speaker. The notes are collected at the end of the event and given to the speakers, along with a Care kit from Fear2Freedom.

We are officially one week into April which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This year, SAAM is focusing on the importance of working together to address and prevent sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.

Our actions and voices are stronger when we work together. Together, we can work to ensure our communities are safe and supportive environments where everyone is treated with respect. Creating a community of respect is a step towards preventing sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
