Thank you to all of you who supported our annual Golf Tournament at the James River Country Club! Not only those who participated, but the companies and organizations who sponsored this event, provided items for our raffle baskets, and helped us get the word out. Our Community Council is popping in to remind you to apply for our Community Assistance Grants and Volunteer Scholarships before Monday, April 6! Please share these opportunities with any organization or student you think could benefit from these grants.

Our Community Assistance Grants were established in 1980 and we have awarded over $187,000 to 200 organizations in the past 40 years. Learn more and apply at: https://hamptonroads.jl.org/impact/community-assistance-grant/

The Volunteer Scholarship was established in 2018 to support the volunteer potential of our youth by awarding scholarships to high school young women who demonstrate outstanding volunteer performance in the community.
