Newport News Parks, Recreation and Tourism plans and schedules a variety of affordable activities at the Brittingham-Midtown Community Center including programs for the Youth Program, Active Lifestyles (50+), and Instructional Classes. The Brittingham-Midtown Community Center offers meeting rooms of all sizes, from the tournament quality gymnasium to the most intimate meeting room for rent. The m

ultipurpose rooms range in capacity from 30 to 80 seats. The center also features several specialty rooms for your events, including two fully-equipped kitchens, two mirrored dance rooms, and two stages for theatrical rehearsals and performances. Please note that our facility will be temporarily closed due to gym floor refinishing & building maintenance from August 17th through August 19th. The gym and dance room will remain closed until August 22nd.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facility and services. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on August 20th.
