What are you doing next Tuesday? We'd love to book a date with you in Richmond... it's PSVA's 2026 Lobby Day! Join us to advocate for funding that would enable our organization to expand our warmline into a 24/7 bilingual operation. We need you to make this happen on behalf of every person who needs perinatal mental health support across the Commonwealth -- anytime, day or night!

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 80% of pregnancy-related deaths in the U.S. are preventable. Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native women face disproportionately higher risks. In fact, a 2021 CDC analysis found discrimination to be responsible for 32% of these preventable deaths. We need timely, evidence-based care, highlighting inequities in socioeconomic status, gender, and ethnicity as risk factors ... and we need it NOW.
