When Lynne Finding joined LINK as a volunteer more than 20 years ago, the fledgling nonprofit dedicated to "breaking the cycle of poverty" in Newport News had an annual budget of $3,000. A trio of churches operated a food pantry, a clothing closet and emergency intake under its umbrella.
