Well, that's May! We were busy. HEsources All is proud to bring you more good news from the place falsely referred to as Bad Newz... nearly 35 individuals participated in our Memorial Day escape room challenge, 60-80 people were served everyday in our new office and 167 hot meals were served on this past Sunday. Here's the best news...10 people in our community (with HEsources All's support) are now employed! Congratulations LV, DN, KR, Rod, LO, BG, CM, DE, GH, and MH! (initials used so nobody asks for a loan from their first paychecks 😂)
A special thank you to Nan and Angel, our new volunteers. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our work.

Its official HEsources All and The Place of Grace thrift shop is now open for business!! Thank you to the nearly 100 guest and many volunteers who came to the grand opening and wished us well. A special thank you to First Communication Bridge Outreach and the dynamic duo of Brianna and Kelly for providing 24 free phones to our community. Their professionalism was second to none! We are open 8-5pm Monday-Friday. Saturday hours are available too. See you soon!

Lots of great news to update you on!!
1.) We are in our new building! Don't forget to come by to see us: HEsources All at 2712 B Chestnut Avenue. I'd love to take you on a tour of the facility.
2.) Our first community dinner served out of the new location served 224 hot meals.
3.) Our first family activity day had 16 individuals in attendance. We had fun!
4.) We were able to help another community member return to the work force. Congratulations to Ms. N!

Tomorrow's the day, February 22-our first seated dinner "I Value You" event. If you have your own transportation come to 2003 Kecoughtan Rd. (Six House, Inc) or use the provided free transportation. Simply come to the normal spot for dinner and catch the van, first pick up will begin at 2:45 PM and the last pick up will be at 4:45 PM. Don't miss this free appreciation dinner event. Psssst...for those mothers who asked for help from the elves... the sleigh stopped by yesterday thanks to Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple and our new partner Peninsula Community Chapel. And thank you to the school group who supported us as well. We have dolls, trucks, board games, basketballs, books, socks, coats, hats and gloves for your little ones. Stop by for pickup if you signed up for this support. See you then.
