Meeting tonight at 6:30 at the Ag Center in Newland.

Our first controlled burn was a success!! This was the first private land burn in our fire district, and a project that we have been working on for several years. A big thanks to the NC Forrest Service for helping us make this happen. It was well managed and went flawlessly. This will be a big step in improving the nesting habitat on this farm. Any local land owners who would like to explore this option on your property, please contact us. It’s way easier than you would ever think.

Gameland Cleanup day was a great success!! A special thanks goes out to all of our volunteers, as well as the Freedom FFA!!! Those kids worked extremely hard for us and did a great job. Also thank you to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for letting us help with this project.
