Chartered in 1973, AYSO Region 42 is part of the American Youth Soccer Organization; a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs.

Today we hosted our first Coach Training Clinics for the upcoming season. Our Coach Admin Debra taught courses for 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U coaches and they all also spent time with a trainer from our partners at First Touch Soccer.

Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley and the staff at the Rocky and Lon Morton Boys & Girls Club for helping us to have this training and support this coming AYSO season in Newbury Park!

❓ "But I don't know anything about soccer..." ➡️ No problem at all! We provide all the training you need, tailored specifically for the age division you'll be coaching. We also have experienced Board Members and veteran coaches eager to share their knowledge and help you succeed.

🏆 AN UNFORGETTABLE, HISTORIC RUN! 🏆

Huge congratulations are in order for our Newbury Park U19 Boys All-Star Team, who wrapped up an absolutely incredible tournament season this past weekend at the Glendale Legends Cup!

This team didn't just win—they dominated. They entered 5 tournaments this post-season and took home 1st Place in ALL 5, including a historic championship win at the Strawberry Cup (the first time a Newbury Park U19 boys team has won it since 2014!). Representing Ventura County as the only U19 boys team in the mix, they went completely undefeated, conceding a mere 10 goals across 20 intense matches against top-tier Southern California competition. ⚽️💥

🎓 A Decade in the Making: This journey didn't start yesterday. Most of these amazing young men started together years ago on a 10U "B" team, playing in our region for over 10 years. As they graduate out of the AYSO youth program this year, we could not be prouder of the players and leaders they’ve become.

🖤 A Legendary Farewell: This season also marks the conclusion of an incredible 15-year coaching run for Coach Jason Kerns! Jason holds every level of AYSO Coach certification from 6U through Advanced, and while he is hanging up his coach's whistle, he isn’t leaving the pitch—he will be transitioning over to referee for our region.

Thank you, Coach, for 15 years of dedication, mentorship, and impact. And congratulations to the U19 Boys on an unforgettable final chapter! 🥳🎖️
