Happy Halloween from our Habitat family to yours.

We hope the costumes hold up and every bucket comes home full. Keep an eye out for kids crossing between parked cars, and say hello to the neighbors you only see once a year.

Have a fun and safe night.

Come see what we're building in Greater Newburgh when the candy is gone.

Third Street keeps moving forward, thanks to 33 volunteers from Leadership Orange.

From clearing vines to prepping the basement for concrete slabs and bricking in windows, every task gets these homes one step closer. 🧡

Thank you to United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region for spending Make A Difference Day with us on Third Street! 🧡

On Thursday, October 22, their team cleared the construction site and prepped the building for concrete slabs, moving our full renovation one step closer to finished homes.

United Way’s work and ours go hand in hand. They strengthen the people and programs that keep our community thriving, and we build the homes where those neighbors live. Together, we’re building a stronger Newburgh.

Thank you to United Way for your long-standing partnership and support!

Construction update! Our construction director, Jason Rivera, takes you inside 225 Third Street.

It’s our newest gut rehab, a historic home in the heart of Newburgh’s historic district. Right now we’re prepping the basement slab so framing can start.

A home this size takes a lot of hands and a lot of materials. Volunteer or donate materials here: https://buff.ly/TuQxGai

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Make your plan to vote!

Whatever's printed on your ballot, housing is on it. Voting is one of the most important things you can do to make our community a place where everyone can afford to live and work.

Look up your polling place and pick the time you'll go. Check whether your state offers early or mail voting, and read your sample ballot before you get there.

Have your plan yet? Find your ballot and your voting options here. https://buff.ly/cCd7pJ2

Wonderful news from the Habitat Newburgh team! 🎉 Our very own Jessica Miuccio will be honored at the 20th Annual Hudson Valley ATHENA Leadership Awards on December 3rd!

Jess, thank you for the heart, leadership, and dedication you bring to our community every day. We’re so proud to have you leading our team and can’t wait to cheer you on at the ceremony!

Thank you to the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce for celebrating Jess’s impact.

The next generation of changemakers in our community showed up with shovels in hand.

Students from SUNY Rockland Community College joined the team out at the construction site to help put some finishing touches on a downspout to keep the fall rains off the foundation at Gail Place.

We always love having students on site. Thank you, SUNY Rockland! We hope to see you back soon.

Help us thank these students in the comments! 👇

Everyone deserves a place to call home.

Home isn't just a house with four walls. It's your communities, your neighborhood and the connections you make with others. Thanks to everyone who helps us build.
