Why July 24th? The date 7/24 reflects the 24/7 dedication required in this field—and honors Eugène-François Vidocq (b. July 24, 1775), who founded the world's first detective agency and private police force in 1833. He also pioneered modern ballistics, criminology, and record-keeping.

Allan Pinkerton launched America’s first private detective agency in 1850, pioneering corporate security and intelligence gathering.
