SilCo Dance

SilCo Dance SilCo Dance, founded 2010 by Artistic Director, Deb Silver. In 2011 PWP grew to include 20 dancers four locations throughout Manhattan and Queens.

Since it’s birth, SilCo has performed work throughout NYC’s boroughs, and as a more long term undertaking, created The People Watch Project (PWP). PWP is an informal dance experience presented in public spaces with the purpose of pulling observers out of their everyday routine, exposing them to a moment of play. With the hard work of 12 beautiful dancers, four helpful volunteers, two brilliant ph

otographers, and one creative cinematographer, PWP made its debut in the hustle and bustle of NYC’s Columbus Circle in October 2010. We took a big leap last fall by presenting our first full evening of work November 4th and 5th at Manhattan's Theater 80. SilCo is sponsored by The Field, a non-for-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization serving the New York City performing arts community.

Two days in upstate NY working with Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, an amazing group of musicians. We spent two days understanding the connection that can develop from working with contact improvisation, how it can effect one's work as a musician, and every day life. A wonderfully positive experience for all.

A year overdue, finally PWP 2011 pics are posted.
