Parakaleo is a Greek word for coming alongside.

We are a global organization that equips and supports women who are making disciples of Jesus in their own context, particularly church planting.

For 10 years, this in-person Parakaleo group in Chattanooga has been meeting, growing, and walking alongside one another through the ups and downs of church planting.

Church planting can make it easy to lose sight of the bigger picture.

A difficult season, a disappointing Sunday, an unanswered question, or someone else's seemingly flourishing ministry can start to shape how we see our own stories.

Sometimes we need to slow down, ask better questions, and return to what's true about God, ourselves, and the work he's given us.

That's part of what Gaining Perspective is about: making space to connect the hope of the gospel to the realities of life in church planting, alongside women who understand.

Saturday night, and your mind is already on Sunday.
Will anyone come? Will anyone new show up? Will all the preparation be worth it?

Church planting can make it hard to separate what you do from how things seem to be going. When attendance feels uncertain, it can be easy to carry that weight into the night.

But faithfulness isn't measured by a headcount.
You can prepare, pray, welcome people, and trust God with what you cannot control.
