It is unacceptable that any child’s life is destroyed by war. Children in Conflict provides the vital protection, education and hope children need to restore some normality when their world has been turned upside down by war. As a result of conflict, all too often children are hurt and lose their life chances. Our work helps give them their childhood back in a safe and supportive area and the chan

ce to build a better future for themselves. We provide pyschosocial support, safe places so children can feel safe, education, livelihoods, emergency relief and other lifesaving services so children can find hope in their future.

"Play was for children, not for those who lived with fear."

That's what Muhindo, 15, said when a TeamUp facilitator first invited him to join a session in conflict-affected Masisi. He came anyway, and it changed everything.

Today is International Day of Play.

For children living through war, play isn't a break from reality. It's how they find their way back to it.

TeamUp — implemented across 30 countries, reaching over 500,000 children — uses structured movement and play to help children process trauma, rebuild trust, and feel safe again. Scientifically proven. A decade of evidence.
