We're proud to honor Procida Companies at Celebrate! 2026.
A soon-to-be fourth generation real estate development and construction company, Procida has been rooted in the Bronx since the mid-1970s and has spent nearly a century building communities across New York City. With over 6,000 units of housing and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial and community space built, their commitment to affordable housing runs deep.

Our partnership with Procida began with Jericho Melrose, and we are grateful to be building alongside a company whose legacy of strengthening Bronx communities so closely mirrors our own. Thank you, Procida, for helping make this vision a reality.

We're proud to honor Azimuth Development Group at Celebrate! 2026.

Our partnership began with Jericho Melrose, a 129-unit development bringing affordable and supportive housing to the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx. Come June 2026, this project will provide 78 supportive homes for single and young adults, alongside deeply affordable units for those who need them most.

Azimuth doesn't just build buildings. They build communities alongside us. Thank you for helping turn this vision into reality.

We are proud to announce that this year's President's Award at our annual Celebrate! Gala goes to Karen Wharton, U.S. Air Force veteran, Doctor of Education, nurse recruiter at the VA, and Secretary of Jericho Project's Board of Directors.

Karen came to this country from Trinidad at 19, became a U.S. citizen, and built a life defined by service. She served as a Captain in the Air Force from 2010 to 2014. But while she was stationed in Texas, Superstorm Sandy flooded her Coney Island home. She returned to find it uninhabitable, with no path to relief and no eligible housing voucher because, technically, she still had a home.
Walking away from yet another dispiriting meeting, she spotted the mural of the five armed forces at Kingsbridge Terrace in the Bronx, knocked on the door, and discovered Jericho Project's Veterans Residence. She was accepted, moved into a furnished apartment, found community, and rebuilt her life.

Today Karen is a tireless advocate for veterans and housing insecure New Yorkers, and as Board Secretary she is helping Jericho grow as a beacon of hope for all those who need us most.
