Traditionally, Thanksgiving has always been a beautiful reminder that every blessing we have comes from God. For most, it’s a time to gather around a table with family, sharing a warm meal, and giving thanks for His faithfulness.
But for thousands of families across New York City, that picture looks very different. For children growing up in struggling homes, Thanksgiving has become just another day marked by hardship instead of celebration.
That is why Metro World Child provides Boxes of Love. Each Box of Love contains everything a family needs to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner—a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy, and more.
But what we’re really delivering is far greater than a meal. We’re delivering hope. We’re reminding parents they are not forgotten, and we’re showing children the love of Christ in a practical and personal way.
Our mission has always been to meet needs while pointing people to Jesus.
