What happens when a sacred space gets a new life? 🏛️

The Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., offers a powerful example of how historic religious spaces can evolve while preserving the stories and communities that shaped them.

At the heart of the museum is the historic Adas Israel synagogue, built in 1876 and moved three times before becoming the centerpiece of a new museum that brings Jewish history, culture, and community into conversation with the city around it.

It’s a reminder that preserving sacred spaces isn’t just about saving buildings, it’s about carrying forward the memories, traditions, and connections they hold.

Perrysburg Alliance Church in Perrysburg, Ohio, is celebrating 50 years of worship in 2026, marking five decades since its first service in 1976.

The church has grown from meeting in a local elementary school to expanding its campus through multiple building projects and leadership transitions over the years.

Today, Perrysburg Alliance continues its ministry under Senior Pastor Brian Elmer, offering weekly worship services and children’s programs for the community.
