☀️ Today is World Vitamin D Day!

Vitamin D research continues to bring attention to the important role it may play in health, including research exploring its relationship with breast cancer risk.

Today also marks the inaugural Baggerly-Garland Awards, recognizing the work of Dr. Edward D. Gorham, Dr. William B. Grant, and Dr. Joan M. Lappe for their contributions to vitamin D research.

Join GrassrootsHealth and the Helen Knoll Foundation today (November 2) at UC San Diego’s Moores Cancer Center or virtually for this special event celebrating advancements in vitamin D research.

The upcoming stakeholder session will focus on seed sources and sovereignty, exploring how seeds are developed, sourced, saved, and shared—and the role of indigenous seed stewardship in regenerative agriculture.

Join the expert panel for a discussion on seed resilience, biodiversity, proprietary seeds, and the importance of locally adapted seed sources. The session will also include a moderated Q&A and an opportunity for public comments.

SENPA is pleased to share this announcement from GrassrootsHealth Nutrient Research Institute and the Helen Knoll Foundation highlighting research on sunlight, vitamin D, and breast cancer prevention.

The organizations are bringing attention to decades of research exploring the relationship between sunlight, vitamin D, and cancer risk. As part of this effort, GrassrootsHealth will host the inaugural Baggerly-Garland Awards on November 2, World Vitamin D Day, honoring three scientists for their contributions to vitamin D, UVB exposure, and cancer research.
