Happy Juneteenth from all of us at YALA! Today, we celebrate freedom, honor our history, and look forward to a future of continued progress.

Through arts integration, our mission has always been to give young people across Louisiana the tools to express themselves, shape their futures, and use their creativity as a force for change.

Today, we celebrate the enduring power of Black culture, artistry, and joy that enrich our classrooms and communities every single day. Keep creating, keep learning, and keep moving forward!

Families with children from infancy to age 8 are invited to enjoy:

✨ A high-energy interactive workshop with Mr. Solo
🎨 A hands-on visual arts project inspired by freedom, expression, and community
🪶 A special Freedom Circle featuring Grayhawk Perkins and Eric Burt, sharing stories, music, and reflections honoring the spirit of Juneteenth

Join YALA and NOPL This Summer For Community Arts And Literacy Storytime Workshops!

Coming to a library near you beginning June 16!

Ready to spark your child's love for reading? Join Young Audiences of Louisiana for a high-energy, 30-minute storytime workshop that brings books to life!

Led by our talented, Wolf Trap-trained Teaching Artists, these free sessions combine music, movement, and interactive storytelling. It’s the perfect summer activity for preschoolers, kindergartners, and kids of all ages!
