I used to hate trying to find monologues for auditions.

Yesterday I spent three hours combing through contemporary plays to find ones for the actors joining us this Sunday. And I didn’t hate it.

Because I kept thinking about each of them, and kept going until I found something that would showcase them at their best.

That is what the Audition Ready Workshop is built on.

Next Sunday, Liz and Michael are spending the afternoon helping actors get ready for their next audition.

Whether you have an open call coming up, or you just want the benefit of practicing this much needed skill to book your next job, we’ve got you.

We’ll be offering personalized headshot and resume advice, diving into a little script analysis and working the monologue on your feet, and finishing the afternoon off with a mock audition.

Auditions can feel like a lot. We want to change that.

On June 14, Michael and I are hosting a small-group workshop at the CCS Studio for actors at every level.

As Artistic Director and Executive Director, we spend a lot of time on the other side of the table. This is our way of giving you something useful before our open call later this year, and before any audition you have coming up.

Here’s how the afternoon goes:
✦ Resume feedback (we’re reading yours ahead of time)
✦ How to walk in, introduce yourself, and own the room
✦ Monologue coaching with both of us
✦ A full mock audition to close it out
