After 11 extraordinary years, Children's Hospital New Orleans has made the decision to bring the Jazz Half Marathon to a close. For over a decade, thousands of runners from across the country have come together every October in Lafayette Square to run through the city of New Orleans for the kids at Children’s Hospital.
We are so grateful for your participation and dedication to our hospital, our patients, and their families. Since the half marathon’s inception, runners and volunteers have raised nearly $3 million dollars to help Children’s Hospital New Orleans care for every child regardless of his or her family’s ability to pay.
As we celebrate one of the most extraordinary moments in Children’s Hospital New Orleans’ history, with the opening of our new campus of healing, we are excited to reimagine a future endurance fundraiser that will launch in the Spring of 2022.
Although we have crossed the finish line of the Jazz Half Marathon and played our final notes, we hope you will join us in celebrating the last 11 years together by sharing your favorite photos and memories from the Jazz Half Marathon and 5K.
