The Lake Sunapee Region has long been a center for artists, writers and performers. The Center for the Arts celebrates this tradition by supporting and promoting artists and arts organizations in our region. We partner with local venues, and businesses, to bring a wide variety of cultural and educational offerings to the Lake Sunapee Region. The Center for the Arts is a non-profit all volunteer organization. We appreciate the support of our contributing members and business sponsors.

Art in Bloom is not just a flower show, and it is not just a gallery exhibition. It’s both at once. Each participating gardening club, garden center, and florist from the Sunapee Region is paired with an original work from CFA’s rotating exhibition of fine art by member painters, photographers, and mixed media artists. The floral arrangements aren’t decoration; they are an inspired response. Visitors move through galleries where every floral work is in dialogue with the art beside it.

Exhibit Hours:
Friday: 2:00 PM — 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM —5:30 PM
Sunday: 12:30 PM —3:00 PM

Class Time: Discover the Forest: A Nature Journaling Workshop with Christine Andrews
Friday, June 5th from 10am to 1pm
In a world that moves too fast, pausing to observe a tiny mushroom, the curl of bark, or the color of changing leaves can restore your sense of wonder — and wellbeing. This immersive workshop invites you to experience the forest through the eyes of both an artist and a naturalist. Participants will explore New Hampshire’s woodlands through the dual lens of artist and naturalist. Inspired by John Muir’s journaling approach — “I notice, I wonder, it reminds me of” — participants will learn foundational nature journaling skills, basic contour drawing, and simple ways to deepen their ecological awareness.
